BG Automotive Group has a car that will travel 80-100 miles per charge for $15,995.

Finally a car that most Americans can afford.

Did you know that 80% of all drivers, drive less than 50 miles per day? This new car will cost an equivalent of $0.20-0.25 cents/gallon (depending on electricity rates in your area).

replying to jeff- when the costs of charging your electric car come out to an equivalent of are 10 cents per gallon instead of 3 dollars per gallon and the fact that it takes significantly less petro to produce the same amount of energy to run an electric car, id say its a greener choice.. if we follow your logic...then there are no green choices... not even a solar car whose body manufacturing also requires the use of petrochemicals to produce(but this would be the greenest of choices if it was commercially available and convenient). Id rather save at the pump and not blast carbon waste out of a tailpipe, its positive change at least....

Jeff

I wouldn't exactly call these cars green. They are just moving the pollution off the road to the power plants instead.

Thanks for the link! I'll have one for you, too. Someone "very special" has acquired some green cars...

cheers,
marie

  • How long do you take to shower each day?
Each day? What a waste of water.
I wet my head and go, 5 minutes.
    Maybe 10, 15 minutes.
    20 minutes...I have to shave!
I can't get clean in less than 30 minutes.
    Shower? I take baths.
